Robinson Village - Public Housing

Robinson Village was built in 1986. There are three separate sites that include atotal of 84 units. Eighty units have been fully refurbished as of 2003 and 4 final units are currently under rehabilitation.

Robinson Village Center

P.A.L. (Police Athletic League) center is now open in Robinson Village. They have opened their doors to over 25 children from the Robinson Village community and surrounding area. Antonio Scott, Program Asst., believes the Center is one many things that help keep down the crime rate within Robinson Village development and the surrounding area. Officer Stephanie Patterson, Program Director, along with a group of officers have really made this program available the children. These officers have put in their a lot of their own time and effort. By being a phone call away they have made themselves so available to the children of this community.

Police Athletic League

P.A.L. is a recreation-oriented juvenile crime prevention program that relies heavily upon athletics and recreational activities to create and strengthen the bond between the police officers and kids. P.A.L. is America’s largest crime prevention program designed to prevent juvenile involved crimes and to reduce the number of juveniles arrested by providing youth with a safe environment, meaningful activities and positive role models.
