Property Manager

Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs new admission and re-certification processing for families participating in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program as required by Federal Regulations. This process is done by appointments and involves obtaining, verifying information of participants to re-assess them for continued eligibility. The work is very detailed and involves a large amount of paperwork. The Specialist is responsible for a caseload of approximately 250-300 families and completely manages their caseload, from scheduling appointments to authorizing Housing Assistance Payments. Evaluation is performed by the HCV Supervisor and is based primarily on the Specialist’s overall ability to complete re-certifications and new contracts within an allotted time frame, customer service attributes, teamwork contribution, and noted audit deficiencies. Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the proper and timely completion of a wide range of routine maintenance related tasks. This is a classification for journeyman level type skills in the maintenance of buildings and equipment. This position will be involved with considerable tenant contact because of the source of many work orders. Duties include those requiring performance of semi-skilled activities such as appliance repair, carpentry repair, electrical repair, mechanical repair, and plumbing repair. [full description]

Risk Control Officer
POSITION SUMMARY
The Risk Control Officer's primary responsibility is preserving and protecting life and property on West Palm Beach Housing Authority (WPBHA) owned properties and by inference the Housing Center of the Palm Beaches (HCPB).
