INVITATION FOR BIDS - FL14S009501-09 ARRA

The West Palm Beach Housing Authority is requesting bids from licensed General/Building Contractors to renovate thirteen (13) buildings comprising a total of forty-six (46) residential units at scattered sites in its Pleasant City Development. This project is being funded by Grant: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Grant # FL14S009501-09.

The Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary in accordance with plans and specifications, and in a condition acceptable to the West Palm Beach Housing Authority.

Plans and specifications will be available beginning February 2, 2010 at 1715 Division Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida. A $25 fee (check or money order only) will be required to pick up plans and specifications.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee which shall not be less than
5% of the bid amount. A Pre-bid meeting to tour the job site will be held on February 8, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. and prospective bidders should meet at 1715 Division Avenue, West Palm Beach.

Bid packages, plans, and scope of work will also be available at that time. Bids must be received, either by hand delivery or mail, at the West Palm Beach Housing Authority, 1715 Division Avenue, West Palm Beach Florida 33407, by 10 AM, February 19, 2010. No faxed or electronic submittals will be accepted. Bids will be opened on February 19, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Board Room of the West Palm Beach Housing Authority, 1715 Division Avenue.

The West Palm Beach Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the West Palm Beach Housing Authority for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date the bidders, prior to awarding the contract of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing them and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
